Show up prepared to find the silver linings in whatever goes wrong that day. Sometimes things happen in life and we get to choose our perspective after. Do we focus on the negatives of the day or spend our energy towards the good. Whichever you choose, you tend to see more of! So, fill your cup half-full and enjoy this day, because you deserve to!
I am excited to share some of my favorite self-care tips for the wedding day. My first is to hydrate and eat! Put someone in charge of breakfast and coffee. Don’t forget to put someone else in charge of lunch and water bottles. I used hydration packs the night before my wedding and it made all the difference for me. Prepare your details ahead of time. Keep them all together in a tote or larger box.
Your getting space will get full of stuff quickly! Make sure to clean up throughout the day so things don’t get lost. Easiest way to help is to make sure you throw out things, for example, drinks you aren’t drinking anymore or wrappers away. Sending the “anyone have my curling iron” text the next morning sucks (trust me, I’ve done). The day goes by so quickly and you’ll have a lot of beautiful decisions you get to make so take this one off your plate ahead of time. Also think about making a “do not play” playlist and a “must play” list for your DJ ahead of time.
